Economist Oleksandr Zholud specializes in monetary policy, financial sector development and pricing policy for ICPS, utilizing his experience in econometric and expert analysis and forecasting. Mr. Zholud’s prior work includes a year spent as a reporter for CEE Market Watch, a major financial market observer. Currently, his research is focused on the transition to large-scale non-cash settlements, analyzing the potential of the Ukrainian economy and other areas. Mr. Zholud has created demographic, labor force and capital forecasts for Ukraine up to 2050, does regular calculations of forecasts for nominal and real GDP andhasbeen a regular contributor to Quarterly Predictions.
Mr. Zholud has a Master’s degree in economics from the Economics Education and Research Consortium (EERC) of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
