Ukraine’s new foreign policy presented

On March 3, a presentation was made of Ukraine’s new foreign policy. The International Centre for Policy Studies (ICPS) and the World Policy Institute (WPI) launched a joint publication called “Ukraine’s New Foreign Policy: The analysts’ view,” with the aim of starting a new level of debate over the serious foreign policy challenges that face Ukraine’s new President.

Leading Ukrainian experts on foreign policy issues were involved in preparing recommendations for the new President. The publication itself represents an innovative approach, combining complex analysis and numberless consultations with many government and non-government players.

ICPS launched another report as well, called “Ukraine’s New Foreign Policy: Four strategic priorities,” which contains the main positions that the new President should be guided by to restore Ukraine’s international stature. This report will be presented directly to the new Head of State and key officials in the Yanukovych Administration. It has also been translated for foreign politicians, as it offers a clear analysis of the problems that face Ukraine today.

These two reports were prepared under the “Unite for Reform” (UNITER) project, funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and executed by Pact Ukraine.
