How to ensure energy security
On 20 July, the “Energy Security Challenges in Ukraine: A snapshot” was presented, a report prepared by ICPS experts after a roundtable on 28 May 2010 called “Ukraine’s International Commitments in the Energy Sector.”
The presentation was wrapped up with an expert discussion that included: Ukraine’s Fuel and Energy Minister (2005-2006) Ivan Plachkov, Correspondent Member of Ukraine’s Academy of Science Borys Kostiukovskiy, Sweden’s Ambassador to Ukraine Stephan Gulgren, Denmark’s Ambassador to Ukraine Michael Borg-Hansen, independent energy expert Oleksandr Narbut, National Ecological Center of Ukraine representative Yuriy Urbanskiy, DTEK representative Viktoria Hrib, ICPS Director Vira Nanivska, and representatives of other embassies and fuel & energy companies in Ukraine.
This report is part of the “Strategic priorities for increasing Ukraine’s energy security to 2030” project being carried out with funding from the Embassy of Great Britain. As part of this project, Green and White Papers will be prepared as well.
