With a post-graduate degree in political science, he teaches at the Diplomatic Academy.

In 2001 he graduated from the National Academy of Public Administration under the Office of the President (NAPA) with a Master’s in public administration. From 1997 to 1008, he was a member of Ukraine’s foreign service. In 2008, he was appointed director of the Coordinating Bureau for European and Euroatlantic Integration (CBEEI) under the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. Currently, he is a partner in Attorneys at Law “IMG partners”, head of International and European law practice.

Holding a Candidate of economics diploma, he has two additional degrees in pharmaceutics and jurisprudence. In 2006, he became first deputy director of financial and economic policy and capital construction at UkrEnergo, the state-owned National Energy Company (NAK). In 2007, he became general manager of Regional Power Networks, a state-owned enterprise. He is also a Knight of the Order of the Honorary Cross.
