Economic Insight

Economic Insight is there to help your organization with strategic decisions and includes three key components:

1. Economic statistics – a collection of key socio­economic indicators that are the foundation for doing business in Ukraine. This report includes data from Derzhkomstat, the state statistics agency, the National Bank of Ukraine, and the State Treasury. It also contains the Consumer Confidence Index and the Index of Inflationary Expectations calculated by ICPS and GfK Ukraine. Indicators for the current year are provided for the current quarter on a monthly basis.

2. Calculations and projections – rolling macroeconomic forecasts for three years and a five­year database of economic. Provided in MS Excel format, this report contains 12 tables and nearly 40 forecast indicators that provide a detailed picture of Ukraine’s economy: national accounts, industry and agriculture, the financial and monetary sectors, and household incomes and spending.

3. Analysis and forecasts – Provided in MS PowerPoint format, this presentation describes the current situation in Ukraine’s economy and offers basic scenarios for a three­year forecast, along with the risks it faces.

Services provided by ICPS

The ICPS team of economists carries out private research on commission from individual clients:

Sector surveys and projections, including:

  • Multifaceted evaluations of the state of the sector based on analyzing a broad spectrum of sector indicators.
  • Projections of shifts in growth dynamics in different sectors based on the results of surveying the macroeconomic environment in Ukraine and the world.

Impact analysis, including:

  • Analyzing the impact of decisions on various aspects of public good: profitability, level of competitiveness, household incomes, job creation, and the environment.
  • Distinguishing interest groups and analyzing their intentions, leverage, and possible behavior.
  • Holding consultations with interest groups (stakeholders) to determine their views of the analyzed problems.
  • Observing public acceptance or rejection of specific actions and decisions.
